The short version: Honest Debt offers guidance, not financial advice. It never moves money, and the numbers it shows are estimates based on what you entered. Big financial decisions deserve a licensed professional.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Honest Debt mobile application ("the App"), developed and operated by EXAFABS. By using the App you agree to these Terms.

1. What Honest Debt Is — and Isn't

Honest Debt is an educational planning tool. It computes debt payoff plans (such as avalanche and snowball), scenario simulations, progress tracking, and plain-English explanations based solely on information you enter.

Not financial advice. The App provides general educational guidance, not personalized financial, legal, or tax advice. EXAFABS is not a licensed financial advisor, credit counselor, or lender.
No money movement. The App cannot connect to your bank, initiate payments, or move money. All payments to your creditors are made by you, outside the App.
Estimates only. Payoff dates, interest savings, and scores are estimates based on your self-reported inputs and simplifying assumptions. Your actual results will vary with creditor terms, fees, compounding methods, and your behavior.

2. Your Account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.

3. Subscriptions

Honest Debt Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) purchased through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel in your App Store account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple — see our Refund Policy.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the App, including attempting to access other users' data, reverse engineering, scraping, interfering with the service, or using the App for unlawful purposes.

5. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, and its content are owned by EXAFABS and protected by applicable laws. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App.

6. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP'S CALCULATIONS, EXPLANATIONS, OR ESTIMATES ARE COMPLETE, ACCURATE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR SPECIFIC FINANCIAL SITUATION.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EXAFABS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including financial losses, arising from your use of the App or reliance on its outputs.

8. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time and will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
